Bloemer
selected as coach for USA Volleyball clinics in Haiti
- Wingate University graduate
assistant volleyball coach Rebecca Bloemer is in the early stages
of her new coaching career. She has been selected to represent
USA Volleyball for a series on clinics to be conducted in Haiti
in early July.
Bloemer
completed a highly successful volleyball career at Wingate last
fall and graduated with honors in May. This fall, she will be
taking on a new role as the top assistant coach under USA Coach
Shelton Collier.
KIVA
College Tournament - The
Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA) hosted a Collegiate
Spring Volleyball Tournament on April 2nd at the Ohio Valley Volleyball
Center. The tournament consisted of 18 Division 1 universities.
Among those schools there were 25 local athletes and 20 KIVA Alumnae
that are pictured below. Since its inception in 2000, KIVA and
Club Director Ron Kordes and his staff have provided scholarship
opportunities for over 125 female athletes to play collegiate
volleyball.
